Assessment of therapeutic activity of several ozonated vegetable oils: A Review

Abstract

The oxidation products formed when ozone reacts with fatty acids and other substrates can be used as a germicide, immunological stimulant, and tissue restorer. The biological activity and stability of ozonized oils enable the production of standard formulations that give ozone advantages. Numerous clinical studies supporting the use of ozonized oils have been conducted. Most of these involve the use of either ozonized olive or sunflower oil in various settings. Although these are mainly used for topical applications, evidence of their healing and immune-stimulating properties has been found orally. This article learns about the chemistry of ozonated vegetable oils, and the production of ozonized vegetable oils, identifies the quality of ozonized vegetable oils and the safety of ozonized oils, and identifies the application of effectiveness in several vegetable ozone oils.
